Watch VideosOne of my favorite scriptures is Acts 10 38, which says how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power Who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him I really love this scripture because It reminds me that one of our purposes in life is just to do good and that no matter what we do We don't have to be perfect. We just have to go about doing good
One of my all-time favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon is Alma 36. In this section, Alma, who is an outrageously sinful man, has an experience where he is called to repentance by the Lord. And at first, it's an agonizing experience, but I want to read this part to you. He says, Now as my mind caught hold upon this thought, I cried within my heart, O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness and am encircled about by everlasting chains of death. And now, behold, when I thought this, I can remember my pains no more. And that's a commonly known scripture in our church, but it has special meaningful impact on me because I know how much I need the Savior.
Favorite scripture, probably just the entire chapter of Alma 7, which kind of talks about the atonement of Jesus Christ, everything he kind of went through, and what he had to go through for us, and kind of explains why he went through all of that so we can, through him, become pure and become, you know, children of a Heavenly Father, and that we can return to him someday. So I just really like it. It's the whole chapter. I don't know if I can choose a specific scripture.
One of my favorite scriptures is found in the four gospels. In this story, Jesus heals a man blind from birth, and I like how this story shows how the man gains a testimony quickly from how Jesus of Nazareth to him becomes the son of God. One of my favorite scriptures of all time has to do with the set of scriptures concerning the prophet Abinadi in the Book of Mormon, who was one of the best examples of courage I've ever seen, never known about in my entire life. He stood up to the wicked priests of King Noah, as well as King Noah, and even went down to his death, even by fire. Courageous man. That's very, very well done.
One of my favorite scriptures is in John chapter 14 verse 6 and it says Jesus saith unto him I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me and I just love that scripture because it's just like really it just explains like that Jesus is the way the truth in the life and no man cometh unto the Father but by me and it's just Telling that he is the way the truth and the life and Yeah, that's my favorite scripture John 14 6
One of my favorite scriptures ever is in John chapter 1. It's verses 43 through 51, and it talks about how Nathaniel is talking to Jesus, and Jesus tells Nathaniel how he saw Nathaniel underneath the fig tree. And this meant a lot to Nathaniel, and I think this is so powerful because Nathaniel was probably in strong prayer, and Jesus Christ helped Nathaniel to see that Jesus Christ heard his prayers. And also, Jesus Christ helps him to understand that if he can do this, then he can do anything. So it's a very powerful scripture.
One of my favorite scriptures is Matthew 19, 26. Jesus said to them with man this isn't possible, but with God all things are true, all things are possible. This really helps me to know that God is the supreme creator and we cannot even compare to him.
I wanted to share my favorite scripture. It's in the Book of Mormon. It's in Moroni chapter 10 verse 32. It says, Yea, come unto Christ and be perfected in him and deny yourselves of all ungodliness. And if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness and love God with all your might, mind, and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ. And if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in no ways deny the power of God.
My favorite scripture is from the Book of Mormon, which is just another testament of Jesus Christ, but it's Omni 126, and it says, And now, my beloved brethren, I would that you should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and ye partake of his salvation, yea, even the power of his redemption. Continue in fasting and praying and enduring to the end, and as the Lord liveth, ye will be saved.
My favorite scripture is Mosiah 2, chapter 2, 41. It talks about the blessed and happy state of those that choose to keep the commandments of God, and it promises that if we are obedient and we do what God has asked, that we can live in a state of never-ending happiness with God. And that just sounds so happy to me, obviously. That's kind of the ending that I seek for, and it makes obedience, even though sometimes it feels tough, seem like a small thing in comparison to the blessings that come when we choose to be obedient.
My favorite scripture is from the Sermon on the Mount when the Savior says to consider the lilies of the field how they toil not neither do they spin and that just reminds me that the Savior is taking care of me and doesn't want me to worry about things that aren't in my control.
One of my favorite scriptures is from the Book of Mormon and it is from Mosiah chapter 24 verses 13 through 14. I think my all-time favorite chapter in the Book of Mormon is in 2nd Nephi chapter 4. I think it's commonly referred to as Nephi's psalm and I just feel like I relate to Nephi so much in this situation where I feel like I'm not good enough, I'm not measuring up, but I know in whom I'm trusted and I just really love that chapter.
My favorite scripture is Proverbs 3, 5 through 6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. That's my favorite scripture because it applies to any time in my life. Whether life seems pretty easy, and I just need a reminder to look unto Christ, it applies then, or if life's really hard, it reminds me that he's the one that can get me through all my trials.
A scripture that really struck me in my reading this week was Alma 37 34 and it says, teach them to never be weary of good works but to be meek and lowly in heart for such shall find rest their souls. So what really stood out to me about this scripture was the part that says never be weary of good works. I think sometimes we can feel really drained by all of our callings and all of the constraints on our time and we can just want to have some time for ourselves and so we might say today's not the day for me to serve, today is not a day for me to look outside of myself, but we forget that the needs that people have are different from day to day. There may be someone out there who needs you that day more than ever and if you're not open to the promptings of the Spirit to help them then they'll just not receive that help that you could have given them. So just always be aware of those promptings and always look to
Alma chapter 7 verse 24, I think it is. It's see that you have faith, hope, and charity and you will always abound in good works. It's short, it's simple, but it means a lot. If you have faith in Jesus Christ, have the hope that everything will be okay, everything will work out despite everything getting in the way and coming down on you. Having the hope that things will work out and putting this faith and hope into action, you know, forgetting about yourself, thinking about others, going out and helping other people, talk to other people, just be a good friend, a good neighbor, or whatever the case may be. And we abound in good works. We find ourselves doing all these great things, which is what God expects of us. He doesn't expect us to get rich. He wants us to do the right thing.
I love the scripture in the Gospel of Matthew where the Savior says, Come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. I just think it's great because it doesn't exclude anyone. Everyone is carrying burdens, everyone is struggling with something, and the Savior is, his invitation is for all people. Not just people who seem to have everything together in their life, but for those who are really struggling and who have real issues. And he wants all of us to come to him, and that scripture just reminds me of his nature and his love and his willingness to forgive us.
So my favorite scripture is 3rd Nephi chapter 11 verses 9 through 11. It's my favorite scripture because it's the Savior coming to the Americas and telling us who He is and why He's there and what He's done for us. And I just, every time I read it I'm reminded of how much the Savior really has done for us and how much He loves us and that He is willing to do the will of the Father in all things. And I just think that is so cool. And if we can follow that example then we can be blessed beyond measure. And I know that Jesus Christ lives and this scripture really helps me to know that that He does live and that He loves me and that He loves each and every one of God's children.
My favorite scripture is Isaiah 53 verses 3 through 5, which says, I just love that scripture because I feel like it encaptures the atonement of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us. It really makes me grateful for what he did for me and what he did for you.
My favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon in Alma 36 24 and it says, Yea, from that time until now I have labored without ceasing that I might bring souls to repentance, that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste, that they might also be born of God and be filled with the Holy Ghost. I really like this scripture because Alma had just finished talking to his son Helaman about his past experiences and his repentance and after that he started his missionary work and he started bringing many souls into repentance. And this just reminds me that I, after becoming a member of the church, I have started to grow testimony that I should share it with other people so they can also have a change of heart and also come and partake of the fruit of which I did take.
One of my favorite scriptures is in Mark 8 verse 35. It says, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the Gospels, the same shall save it. So it just kind of helps me realize that if I want to make the most out of my life, the best way to do that is to really devote myself to Christ and his Gospel and helping others come unto him.
My favorite scripture is Isaiah 41 10 which says fear thou not for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God, I will strengthen thee, yea I will help thee, yea I will uphold thee in the right hand of my righteousness. And I love the scripture because it just reminds me that God is always in our corner to help us and that he's always with us no matter what even in the dark times and even in the happy times he's celebrating with us as well. So it's just a great reminder for me and I actually have a necklace that has that scripture engraved into it so I that's why I like the scripture.
I really love the first Nephi, which is the first section of the Book of Mormon. So I really love the stories because it contains like a discussion with Nephi and other his brothers and how he overcame obstacles and struggles with the help of God and then how they escaped from Jerusalem to the promised land which is in the American continent. It's according to the commandments of God and the story contains a lot of things like that and then you will know and you will enjoy the story and then the commandments that Nephi's family were given. So I think that's my favorite scriptures.
My favorite scripture is 2 Nephi chapter 4 verse 20 and it says my God has been my support. He led me through my afflictions and the wilderness and he has preserved me upon the waters of the great deep. I love that. I think that every single person goes through difficulties, they go through hard times, they feel like they're in a deep place and they need his support and his love and they can always have it because he's always there.
So my favorite scripture is in Doctrine and Covenants 636, and it says, look unto Christ in every thought, doubt not, fear not. And I absolutely love that scripture because it's so simple, yet it has so much power that if we just know that we need to look unto Christ, then we don't need to doubt and we don't need to fear, but it's always the doubt that comes before the fear. So when we doubt first, then that's when we're starting to fear. So if we can get rid of our doubt, then we won't have fear in our lives. And on the contrary, if we can get rid of our doubts, then we will begin to have hope and that hope comes through Christ.
All right, my favorite scripture is Ether 1227, which says that, if men will come unto me, meaning God, then he will show unto them their weakness. It says that God gives men weakness that they may be humble, and all those who come to Christ with those humilities and have faith in him, then God will make those weak things become strong unto them. And I really like that because as a human, like we're all human, we all have weaknesses, but through Christ, and if we have faith in Christ, we will be able to make those weaknesses into strengths. And I believe that this is through the atonement of Jesus Christ.
One of my favorite scriptures is Alma chapter 36 verse 20. In this, Alma is talking to his son Helaman, and he's describing his repentance process as he came to know Christ. And he says that after he had repented, his soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was his pain. This resonates a lot with me because, like a lot of people, I felt that kind of harrowing up of the soul that Alma felt when I know that I've done something wrong. But I've also felt, like Alma, that joy that comes from repentance. And I know that it's true that through the atonement of Jesus Christ that we can we can come back and we can have joy no matter our circumstances. And I love that. I love Alma's example of repentance.
One of my favorite scriptures is in 3 Nephi chapter 17 verse 6 and it's when Jesus Christ has come and he's visiting the people in the Americas after he has been resurrected and I love this verse because He's about to leave after he's talked to them and he notices that the people are sad and they want him to stay and so he just says my bowels are filled with compassion towards thee and he stays and Throughout the verse then he comes and he invites the people that come up and heals them and he stays with them And I think for me This is just what Christ is to me that he has always filled compassion towards us and he wants To bless us and help us in any way that he can
Some of my favorite scriptures come from the Book of Mormon in Alma chapter 34. If you haven't read it, it's an awesome, awesome chapter. It talks a lot about repentance and the purpose of life. I think verse 31 is probably my favorite scripture. It's right before one of the most famous scriptures in there, but it talks about how if we repent then we will be immediately blessed for repenting. And then the following verse talks about a little bit the purpose of this life and that we're here to learn from our trials and come to know God. And I think that whole chapter in general just hits on a lot of cool things. It talks a lot about prayer and the atonement especially as well.
One of my favorite scriptures is 2nd Timothy 1 7 and it says for God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind and this is super encouraging to me because I often let fear get in my way and I often stress myself out over things and that is not what God intends for me, but he has given me this powerful spirit and he's on my side. So how could I fail? You know if I'm doing righteous things and he's given me the spirit of love and that's what I should be demonstrating to the entire world, to everybody that I interact with. And finally he's also given me the gift of a sound mind and if I just remember those three promises and those three things that he has given me instead of focusing so much on the thing that he hasn't, he hasn't given me that fear then that's just super encouraging and beneficial to my own life.
My favorite scripture is Mosiah 241, and it says, And moreover, I would desire that you should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual. And if they hold out faithful to the end, they are thereby received into heaven, that they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. Oh, remember, remember that these things are true, for the Lord God has spoken it. And I love that scripture because it just shows us that the joy that we can receive from keeping the commandments and following the plan of salvation and God's plan is insurmountable. Think of the happiest thing we've ever experienced in our lives and multiply that by infinity, and that'll be how happy we can be forever and ever.
One of my favorite scriptures in the Pearl Gray Price is the part where Enoch sees God crying, God weeping, and this comes to show that God is a God of feelings. He loves us. Love is not just an action, it's a feeling as well, and he deeply cares for us as his children. One of my favorite set of verses of scripture is in Doctrine and Covenants that talks about the three degrees of glory, or basically the three degrees of heaven, of the heavens, and that is always fascinated with me. It has helped me to see as I was becoming a Latter-day Saint how much more fair and just and merciful God is to all of his children.
One of my favorite scriptures is Matthew 11, 28 through 30, and it says, Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. This scripture just gives me a lot of peace, knowing that as we follow Jesus Christ, he will give us rest. And the things that we have to do to follow him may not be hard or challenging, but they are important. And as we take his yoke upon us, as we get to know him, as we try to be like him and learn about him and take care of those around us, we will be strengthened and we will find rest.
One of my favorite scriptures is John chapter 3 verse 16 It says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believed in him should not perish but have everlasting life and I love that scripture because it's talking about how like God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. He gave his only son to die for us and to die for us so that we could repent and I just love that because it's talking about how Like how he gave his only begotten son and that's my favorite scripture John 3 16
One of my favorite scriptures is D&C 1810, which says the worth of souls is great in the sight of God, and this was my seminary theme my senior year of high school, and I was on the council that got to pick the theme and plan activities and devotionals around it, and I love it so much because it's easy to get lost in a crowd and feel like you don't mean anything, you aren't worth anything, but in the sight of God, in the person who really matters, I am everything.
My reason Ether 1227 is one of my favorite scriptures is because it says, as we come closer to God, He shows us our weakness. And that is comforting to me because I feel very weak very often. And when I feel weak, I know that that is a sign that I am closer to God. When I see what I am doing wrong, and it terrifies me, and I feel so guilty for it. And I have this crippling doubt that I'll ever be better. I know that I am halfway there. That's one of the most comforting things that I can think of. When you are getting closer to God, He necessarily shows you how you are different from Him and how to improve. And that's a good thing.
My favorite scripture has to be Jeremiah 29 11 for I know the plans I have for you and that is the greatest promise that I've held on to for probably four years now. I completely trust God when he says he knows the plans he has for me and I've actually seen every single time how he's worked in my life and how he's ordered my steps and how he's just performed these little miracles in my life that have just made such a difference and just made me, I don't know, just fall in love with him more.
One of my favorite scriptures is 1 Corinthians 13 verse 12, and it says, for now we see in a mirror dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part, then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known. And I really like the scripture because I think that's a really important thing for me to keep in mind that's been helpful throughout life is just that there's a lot of things I don't understand right now, but I can trust that God does. And that one day I will understand everything fully, just as I've been fully understood.
A little while ago I was in the mountains and we were just hiking and we stopped and just listened and it was so still. I couldn't hear anything, there was just nothing. But I couldn't hear anything, but I could feel God's love for me in that moment. And it reminds me of the scripture in Psalm 46.10 it says, Be still and know that I am God. And as I loved it, I was just still and I knew that he was God. I knew that he was there for me, that he loved me. And I want to strive to do that more often, to be still, not just when I'm out in nature, but every day of my life.
My favorite scripture is located in the Book of Mormon, written by a prophet named Moroni, and it's in Moroni chapter 10 verse 5, and it says, And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. This scripture has really helped me in times when I might have felt alone, or like I might not have been able to recognize Heavenly Father's hand in my life. It's helpful to know that the Holy Ghost, the Spirit, that He can teach us what's true and what's not true and be there for us all the time.
One of my favorite scriptures ever is in the New Testament, it's Matthew chapter 5 verses 14 to 16 And it goes ye are the light of the world a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid Neither do man light a candle and put it under a bushel but on a candlestick and it giveth light unto all that are in the house Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven We have the gospel in our lives. We have We believe in Jesus Christ and his atonement and We are meant to share our knowledge. We want to share what we know with the world and you don't have to be a called missionary to do this anyone can serve and Make people happy and share the light that we have
So one of my favorite scriptures is in 3rd Nephi chapter 11 and it's verse 11 and in here is talking about our Savior and it says And behold I am the light and life of the world and I have drunk out of that bitter cup Which the Father hath given me and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world in That which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning so basically what that is saying and why I love it so much is because it's Talking about how Jesus Christ is there to do his father's will and he's here to bring us unto God and to be able to become closer to him and it says that he is the light and life of the world and I truly believe that that is how we come unto Christ and come unto God and I just really like that scripture
My favorite scripture is in Moroni 7 and it's verse 48 and it talks about charity and love and being able to help others and it's one of my favorite scriptures.
One of my favorite scriptures is in 3rd Nephi chapter 11, it's verse 15, and it's when the people came to feel the Prince in Christ's hands and feet, and I really like this because there was a whole multitude of people there, and Christ just took the time to have that one-on-one moment with each individual person, and I think that's just really a great example of his love for each of us.
So one of my favorite scriptures is in Omni and it's chapter 1 verse 26 and it says, And now, my beloved brethren, I would that you should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and prayer, and endure to the end. And as the Lord liveth, ye will be saved. And the part of that I really like is when it says that as we come unto him and take the action and come closer to him, we need to offer our whole souls as an offering unto him. And I like that because it's not just part of it, it's like we need to be all in. We can't be sitting on the fence. We need to do everything we can in our power to draw closer to Jesus Christ. And as we do that and continue in fasting and prayer and endure to the end, it says in here, we will be saved. We will be saved and return to live with him again. And I just really love that scripture.
Matthew, I think 11, 28 through 30 talks about how we need to, well really it just means to put off like our own will and like yoke ourselves like to Christ because he is meek and lowly of heart and if we can do the same then we'll have him with us always and helping us through everything so that's a really really good one.
One of my favorite scriptures is Doctrine and Covenants section 121 verse 7 and it says, My son, peace be unto thy soul. Thine adversity and thine affliction shall be but a small moment. When I kind of discovered this scripture or when it impacted me the most was one time when I was in high school there was one of my friends was having a hard time. She posted on Facebook that she was having a really difficult time at like one in the morning and so I saw it and I felt inspired to share a scripture with her and it was this scripture and she told me that as she read it she just felt an overwhelming sense of peace and the scripture has also helped me in my life too because I find out that all these trials and hardships that we face in life they're just a small moment and because Heavenly Father loves us we can be able to overcome all of these trials that come to us and we can have peace and happiness even during those trials.
One of my favorite scriptures is found in Alma 36.3 that says, And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore I beseech of thee, that thou will hear my words and learn of me. For I do know that whosoever put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials and their troubles and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last days. I really like that one just because it gives me great advice for what I need to do to be able to overcome any problems that I'm having in my life. All I need to do is learn to trust in God more.
My favorite scripture is Messiah 217, and it's when you're in the service of your fellow beings, you're only in the service of your God. And I just love that it's a great reminder to serve everyone around you, no matter who they are, what they look like, and where they come from.
My favorite scripture in the Bible comes from 2nd Corinthians 12, verses 7-10, and in these verses, Paul is talking about his weaknesses and how he's just so frustrated because he asks and asks and asks for his weaknesses to be removed, for them to be overcome, but he continues to struggle. And he says that he glories in his weakness because it gives him a reason to rely on the Savior, and I have found so much comfort from those verses because I have many weaknesses, and sometimes it gets really frustrating as I ask for the Lord's help to overcome them, and I still continue to mess up and to fall. But I know that because of those weaknesses, I'm able to rely on the Savior and to feel his power in my life, and I'm so grateful for that opportunity.
One scripture that has been meaningful to me is in Doctrine and Covenants, section 123, verse 17. Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power, and then we may stand still with the utmost assurance to see the salvation of God and for his arm to be revealed.
A favorite scripture of mine is Doctrine and Covenants 29-34, which says that all things are spiritual unto God, and what I learned from that is that all things should be spiritual unto us, and that motivates me to try and feel the spirit while I'm doing daily mundane tasks.
My favorite scripture is Doctrine and Covenants, section 123, verse 17. This was a scripture written while Joseph Smith was in Liberty Jail, suffering some pretty difficult and challenging mortal experiences. Paraphrasing the scripture, it says, Dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie within our power with the utmost assurance in God and wait for his hand to be revealed. So it's not memorized, it's just paraphrased. But I love this scripture because it shows us that we have to do our part. If we do our part and we're trying to be cheerful in challenging circumstances, that we can have faith in the Lord and that we have to rely on his timing, but eventually we will see how he has blessed our lives and how he was there with us all along. It has been a very comforting scripture to me during difficult times.
So for me, one of my favorite scriptures has always been Helaman 512, and it's the scripture that I use for my mission and something I always reflect about. It talks about the importance of building our foundation on the rock of Christ and things that we can do that will make sure our foundation is strong, as in reading the scriptures, saying our prayers, going to church, going to temple, doing those simple things that we talk about as primary kids. And it talks about the blessings that we will receive as, as Satan will try and tempt us and try and deceive us, that we'll be blessed and our foundation will be strong. And I'm really just grateful for that scripture constantly in my life.
Another reason that 1st Nephi chapter 11 is one of my favorite scriptures is because it starts out with Nephi asking the Lord about the meaning of the tree of life. And in response, the angel of the Lord shows him this vision of the birth of Jesus Christ. And the moment he sees this, Nephi realizes his answer. And it goes like this. And just seeing Jesus Christ and realizing that the answer is the love of God, because Jesus Christ is the perfect representation of the love of God, is so meaningful to me.
2 Nephi chapter 2 verse 25, Adam felt that men might be in manner that they might have joy. If Adam and Eve hadn't made that choice in the garden of Eden to disobey God, then they wouldn't have experienced what they did. They wouldn't have felt the way they felt. So 2 Nephi chapter 2 actually all it talks about is agency. We could either choose to follow God's commandments and therefore be blessed and happy, or we cannot follow God's commandments and be miserable like Satan was. And that's what Satan wants. He wants us to be like unto him. But God wants us to be like unto him. He wants us to follow his way because his way is happiness.
I love Moroni 10, 32 through 33. I think it is a great explanation of how we can't really do this life and improve on our own. We need the atonement of Jesus Christ, but there are things that we can do to push away the things that don't help us improve, and know that as we do that, the peace available to us because of the atonement is real and it will come. So I love that one.
My favorite scripture is Doctrine and Covenants 5024. I love it because it talks about how God is light and we can receive more of that light by following Him.
My favorite scripture is the story of Esther from the Old Testament, how a queen, a girl who was stolen from her own land, suddenly saved her entire people with choice and bravery and courage, and the understanding that her choices will quite literally affect an entire population, entire people. Her knowing that she could kill for this, but it was the important thing to do, even though if she didn't it'd be fine, like it wasn't her fault, but she had the strength to go and do the things that would keep her people safe. She went for the greater good, she went for what would make the biggest difference overall, and I aspire to be like that one day, to be able to make the hardest choices, but that'll affect most people that will be for the greater good and make the best good.
Another of my favorite scriptures is 1st Nephi chapter 11. In it, Nephi has a vision where he sees the meaning of the world, the purpose of life laid out before him. And it's an incredible example of how we can receive direction from God in our lives. And in it, he sees an angel, and the angel asks him this question, knowest thou the condescension of God? Do you know why God came down? And then in verse 17, he says, Nephi replies and says, and I said unto him, I know that he loveth his children. Nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things. And to me, that's a beautiful example of what we need to do in order to receive answers from the Lord. We may not always know everything, but we can always ask him and he will answer us.
One of my favorite scriptures is in Moses 139, and it says, Behold, this is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. And I love that scripture because it just describes God's mission for us. He really wants us to come home to him, and he loves all of his children equally.
