One spiritual experience I had occurred shortly after I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I remember it vividly because it was quite a unique experience. I was living in Mexico with my mom and my stepdad, and I was in their house. I believe he was in there all alone, and I smelled this scent. It reminded me of my my grandfather, Joseph, Joseph's cologne. And as soon as I smelled it, I went, Opa! Oh, I said, Opa? And as soon as I said that, that scent went away, and I could tell he was there.

To be honest, I had a lot of experience, so many experiences. I would love to share all with you because it's one way I can share that God lives. And also, if you have the chance, you can have one. Just you need to ask them if you want to have a spiritual experience. It doesn't mean you need to have something magical or marvelous. It's just simple things that you're going to see that that spiritual experience is going to make change your heart, make change your mind. And you're going to love to have it, so you're going to try to get more spiritual experience. So for me, that is one of my favorite things to have in my daily life. So try to find a spiritual experience.

One spiritual experience I had was whenever I was reading the scriptures with a non-member who was kind of investigating being introduced into the church, and in the past couple times that they were reading the scriptures, they really struggled with the language of the Book of Mormon especially, and they were reading it and they were kind of stumbling over words, and it was hard, I think, for them to really grasp what was being said because they were confused by the wording and constantly like stumbling over words. And I remember praying and asking for Heavenly Father before we read the next time for just assistance to help them feel the Spirit and to help guide them as they read so they will help start understanding getting a testimony of their own. And whenever I did that, or after I did that, and then we went to read, I'm not going to say that it's because I prayed for that, but when we read this time, they pretty much read all the way through without hardly any struggles with words and stuff like that, even some words that they struggled with in the past that they got that time, and I just thought that that was a super spiritual experience for me.

My greatest spiritual experience of my life was in the MTC when our teachers were teaching us about how to, you know, invite investigators to pray, about their message, you know, to invite them to ask Heavenly Father if what they're saying is true, and that, you know, if it is true, please let me know by the Holy Ghost, or, you know, and they were about, okay, after you're finished praying, make sure you give, like, 10, 15 seconds to let, like, the Spirit come in, see if you can feel it.

A spiritual experience that I think about a lot is a few years ago I did a humanitarian trip in Brazil and initially I was really worried about going there and seeing the third world country and then having thoughts that God doesn't love us or God doesn't exist if this would happen to people like this but I prayed a lot going into it and then after or while I was there with every person I met there was obviously a language barrier and I couldn't really talk to them and we met so many different people but I just had the strongest feeling each person that God loves them and God knows exactly what they're going through and I think that was the spirit just whispering and telling me that God really does love us no matter what and has a plan for everyone so I love that and I think about that a lot because yeah that gets me going through life so yeah.

One spiritual experience that I recently had, I had a question and I was praying about it and I had been on my mind a lot and I was just sitting down thinking and I was at church and this woman that I never met before came up to me and she's like, this is kind of weird but I saw you and I just had the scripture come into mind and she shared the scripture with me and it was perfect and it just gave me comfort to questions I had been thinking about and asking God about and it was really cool to me just the faith that that woman had because that can be really scary and honestly it can be weird to just go up to someone that you've never met and like here's the scripture but she did it anyways and I was so grateful that she did because it ended up being a huge help to me in my life.

Once, while I was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was taking the sacrament, the bread and water to remember Jesus Christ, his suffering, his body and his blood, and I had a strong feeling that I needed to go to the class that the young men were in after sacrament. And usually we would go to a different class and it's a long story, but I'd never been in the young men's classroom before. But without even telling my missionary partner or my missionary companion, and that was unusual because you're with your missionary partner like 24-7 all the time except for when you're in the bathroom, I just left straight to the young men's room as soon as that class started. And he was probably wondering where the heck I was going. The young men's president stopped me in the hall and said, hey, I need to be in primary today for my daughter. Will you teach?

One spiritual experience I had was when I had a vision about one or two years ago, and I think I already have a video on life stories about this, but it went sort of like this. It's kind of funny, just so you know. So we were coming home, and Celeste, which was my sister, said that, hey, an angel put toys in the buckets. And I just didn't believe her, and I stepped up the stairs, and then I was shocked, and I fell down again, and then I looked back up, it was an angel, and then just disappeared. It started showing images about Christ and things like that, and it made me want to be a better person. Bye-bye.

There was one time I was pretty rough and As soon as I tried to just do the little things like praying more often If something was if I was about to do something, I would think what would God want me to do? What would he feel about this? What would he say? Just thinking like that. It honestly just made my life better. I was more calm more happy in a better mood

I think that oftentimes we talk about spiritual experiences, they have to be these big, huge events. And where I've had a few like that, I think the majority of my spiritual experiences are just small moments that happen to me throughout my life. Just this last week, I had an experience where all day I had the thought come to my mind that I should reach out to one of my stepdaughters and tell her what I admire about her. And that thought came throughout the day, but I was busy at work. Finally, as I was driving home from work, the thought was very persistent. So I called her and I just said all the things I love about her and what I admire about her. And she got very emotional and said, you have no idea how much I needed to hear that today has been a very difficult day. And that was just a reaffirming that the spirit is there and guides me and directs me. And I'm grateful for spiritual experiences.

A spiritual experience that I have had is this Christmas I was in a live nativity and I was a shepherd. It was really cool because we reenacted the birth of Jesus. It was awesome just to be out there for the couple nights that we did it and just be in the quiet shepherd field scene and just to really think about what Christmas was all about and it was just a very spiritual moment that I was able to have on repeat for a couple hours each night and it was just an awesome experience.
