Watch VideosI'm going to give you a little imagery. Say you're at a basketball game, you're high up in the stands, you're looking down at the court, there's a bad call, and the ref makes the bad call, and you're yelling and screaming, ref, no, no, no, no. Doesn't matter how hard you yell or how loud you yell, you're not changing anything, and no one's going to hear you, and the ref isn't going to hear you. The thing I like about blogging is that if I have something to say to the world, I can say it, and people can hear me, and oftentimes they do, and they can respond, and I can have just that way to express my opinions about things, and hopefully sway people and impact them to kind of see things in a different light and live their lives a little differently.
My favorite aspect when it comes to blogging is the amount of creativity that's involved when you are blogging. There's a million different ways to take it. There's a million different things that you can directionally go when you're trying to think of topics to write about. And so it takes, it's one part being open and creative, but then on the other hand, there's an element of discipline that you have to find when you're creating content and when you're generating content for the blog. And so, yeah, I think that's definitely my favorite aspect when it comes to blogging.
One of my favorite aspects about blogging is the ability to do good, to make change in the world. I love to do cultural critique with my blog and I have written stories and I remember that one story I shared a critical critique about something that was very common in the culture where I'm from and my sister's like no one's gonna listen to you and blah blah blah and you know you know basically was super negative and later that day I had someone who responded to comments on my blog and they said you know when I read this I was super upset and I was angry with what you said and I disagreed and the more I thought about it the more I realized you were right and you're gonna cause me to have to change what I'm doing but I see what you're talking about and I want to thank you for being willing to put yourself out there and so I love that ability of blogging you make yourself vulnerable but you have the opportunity to help change things for the better.
