The biggest advice I have for getting started on a blog is just do it. Just start doing something and write about what you're passionate about. If you love rollerblading, then write about rollerblading. If you love to cook, then write about loving to cook. You don't have to have perfect grammar, you just need to tell a story. If you can tell a story and captivate an audience in person, do it on the blog. Just simply write it up. Don't worry about the technicalities when you start. You can always work on things more. As far as getting started goes, it just takes that big leap to start. I recommend trying to write up your thoughts on Facebook posts first and see if you get any traction. If no one even is interested in what you're writing about on Facebook, then there probably is going to be very little traction on the blog. So unless you're doing it for therapeutic reasons, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you feel like you've got something to share, share it. And if people enjoy it, share more of it. So just share. That's my biggest advice for getting started.

Number one for sure you need to be passionate about it because it's not an immediate gratification when it comes to revenue or monetizations. If you're wanting to be a full-time blogger and this is what you want to do for a career you're going to have to put in a lot of work and you're going to have to put in a lot of effort initially until you start getting the flywheels generating. Probably the biggest piece of advice I would give is to be super passionate and treat it almost like a hobby in terms of something that you're passionate about because that will help you get on to the other side until you're able to start to fully monetize the website and make a full-time career out of it.

My advice for you is to realize that blogging is not dead. I think it's funny when people think, you know, people don't read blogs anymore, and while people do like to spend time watching videos, blogging is not dead. I make the majority of my money blogging, and so you're gonna have a lot of questions, you know, what hosting site, what template, what web theme, what this, what plugins, what, you know, there's lots of questions you have. Just find the answer to one at a time. Again, find a good community on Facebook, a good blogging community of people who are willing to share their advice, and just get started. Be consistent, and try to build relationships, and you will have a lot of success if you do those things.
