It says, to every man there comes into his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing unique to him and fitted to his talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for that which would be his finest hour. I really like that because that motivates me to always be focused on self-improvement and just getting better and more prepared for when that moment arrives.
There's a quote from Walt Disney. He said the way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. I think a lot of times we just talk about the things that we wish we could do and we don't actually start doing it and we feel like down about it, but something I found helpful is to just like be like three two one we're doing this and get started or set set a timer on your phone or put it in your calendar. You need to stop talking about what you'd like to do and actually start doing it and I know it's hard but you can do it.
Another great motivational quote is known as The Man in the Arena by Theodore Roosevelt. It goes, it is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcomings, but who does actually strive to do the deeds, who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who is at the best, knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold, intimate souls who neither know victory nor defeat.
