I think that my favorite food to eat in Chiclayo was probably Lobos Saltado, which is like cut up beef with potatoes and onions and tomatoes served with rice and it's really, really good. And I also liked Arroz Chaufa, which is kind of just like fried rice, but with a little Peruvian twist to it.

Video 2 - Transcription

My favorite food by far was Lomo Saltado. Lomo Saltado is like, it's like steak with like bell peppers and onion and they cook it together and then they like take french fries. They'll cook french fries and they just put all that goodness on top of the french fries. So good. So Lomo Saltado is great. Ceviche is great. It's kind of a crazy food. Mention it in the crazy foods but Ceviche Lomo Saltado. It's amazing. Ají de gallina is really good too. It's like this dish, really hard to describe but it's this chicken dish with this creamy sauce and it's just, it's kind of hot but not too hot. It's just great. The food's great. No game way.

Best food is aji de gallina. It's like a gross looking sauce that goes over rice. It's kind of yellowish. It's got like bits of chicken in it, but trust me it might look kind of weird, but it is so so so good. If you do not like it then I'm sorry that you don't like good food. Other good foods, lomo saltado is like a favorite for every American because it's like french fries and steak, and chifa which is like Peru has like a huge Chinese Asian influence there. There's a ton of Chinese restaurants that have like super good fried rice that's called chaufa and a lot of other things, but really really good food.

So my favorite food from Peru would have to be Lomo Satal, which is pretty much just like a giant fried potato mashed in with a bunch of meat and mashed up with a bunch of spices and peppers and stuff like that. They fry it all up in a big pan. You can serve it with rice and some spicy sauce. It's real good.

One of the best foods probably ever to try in Peru is pollo a la brasa, which is, it's rotisserie chicken. They usually would give you like a half of a chicken with a pile of french fries. And I don't know what they do different with their chicken, but it is super good, tender, juicy. And the way they make french fries in Peru is the best too.

So my favorite food in Lima was ají de gallina, and it's a really simple dish. So half of the dish is just plain white rice. The other dish are chicken strips in a sauce that they create. Actually, one of the main ingredients is graham crackers or saltine crackers, and then they boil an egg, cut it in half, and place two bits on the sauce side, and that's how they serve it. One of my favorite appetizers would have been papa rellena, which is they mash potatoes, then they get some meat and some vegetables. They wrap the meat and vegetables in a ball of the mashed potatoes, and then they fry it, and it's really good. And I heard the Lima food will be very good once you get used to it.

My favorite food has got to be the lomo saltado de carne. It's basically like meat with french fries and fried vegetables and this really great sauce over french fries and rice and is delicious.

Another food that I love in Arequipa that's specifically for Arequipa is el adobo arequipeño which is like a soup but they have pork in it and they serve it a lot on Sundays but it is really good and I had an area in Arequipa in the main city where they would make it all the time and that's one of my favorite foods it's called el adobo arequipeño and if you go to Arequipa you'll definitely try it.

Video 9 - Transcription

Honestly love Peruvian food, all of it, but my favorite is probably Lomo Soltado. It's basically a beef stir-fry served with french fries in it and just served over top of rice. Another one of my favorites is Papalón Caína. It's just basically a potato cut up and cooked with a special yellow sauce and then served with rice. It's super good, definitely recommend it if you ever go to Peru or if you ever go to find yourself at a Peruvian restaurant. There's also Inca Cola. It's like this Peruvian soda that they have. It's like neon yellow, looks pretty crazy, but it tastes just like bubble gum almost. Super good, highly recommend.

There's this food that they eat in Peru that's super good called aji de gallina, and it's like a sauce, this yellow sauce stuff with chicken on it and they put it on top of rice and it smacks, it's pretty good. So if you're ever out there, look up for some aji de gallina.

Video 11 - Transcription

My favorite food is called arroz con pollo. It's like a green rice with green chicken. I know it's kind of weird when you see it like at the first time it's like hey what is this why the rice is green or why the chicken is green but it is so good like the flavor you taste it like you try it it's like very good and I really like arroz con pollo. Some other favorite food that I had is pollo a la brasa. It's like chicken with like only chicken but the manner that they prepare is very good and I also like ceviche the famous the most famous food in Peru. It's so cool but the Greek can't eat ceviche.

Video 12 - Transcription

My favorite foods from Trujillo, from Peru, are lomo saltado, which is like cut up potatoes, basically like french fries with like steak slices and tomatoes and onions and oh it's just so good. Also lomo, or no, tallarines verdes, which is basically like a spaghetti with a green pesto, so it's super good. And there's a breakfast drink that I really miss a lot and it's made of quinoa or quinoa, however you want to say that, but yeah it's a warm breakfast drink. It's kind of prepared like a liquidy oatmeal but with quinoa or quinoa and it's super good. And sometimes they'll like cut up apple slices or pineapple slices with it as well.

Video 13 - Transcription

I totally love lomo saltado. It's like this kind of like a stir-fry dish with strips of beef and fries and onions and tomatoes. It is so good. And pollo a la brasa is really good too. It's like kind of like a roasted chicken. It's really good.

Video 14 - Transcription

Okay, so I had two favorite dishes. I loved seco de res. I couldn't explain it to you if you asked me. It's just a dish that involves beef and it has this kind of green sauce that goes over it and it kind of tastes like cilantro a little bit. I don't know, it's good. It's real good and it's really tender meat and the other thing I love is ceviche de pota. So ceviche de pota is made with octopus tentacles and it has what they call choclo which is just like corn on steroids and it has onions and a little bit of like spiciness to it and they also put in gamjito which is like toasted corn. It's good and also take advantage of the avocado. It will never be that cheap in your whole entire life. I mean eat any of the fruits really. It's just great.

Video 15 - Transcription

Pollo a la brasa, which is just chicken wing. Something called papa rellena, which is stuffed potato. They would just like mash the potatoes and then stuff a bunch of like meat or cheese or whatever you want in there and then they roll it up and fry it and so it was really good. They serve it with ceviche a lot. They have Pizza Hut and KFC there.

Video 16 - Transcription

So my favorite food, well, is definitely arroz con pollo. I really loved it just because it's like this green like cilantro rice and you have some veggies in the rice which you never see otherwise and it has some chicken but when I say it has like chicken there's like this much so beware and they give you a lot so remember just ask for a little bit but don't be offensive. Also the mango, okay I know it's not their food but their mango is amazing. I used to hate mangoes and it's my favorite thing in the whole world now. It's unreal so definitely try that.

Video 17 - Transcription

One of my favorite foods or dish in Peru is Cuy Frito, which is fried guinea pig and I loved it. I ate it in Trujillo, that's the city where I was born and I ate it in Cusco, Peru and I loved the meat. It's really soft, I think it's better than chicken, better than any other meat I had before. It is kind of gross how do you, like, they serve the dish because the guinea pig is fried and opened, like, the head, the, all, like, the legs, everything is there. So you can, like, see, like, it looks like a rat but it is not, but it's, you should try it with some inca cola.

Video 18 - Transcription

When you get to Peru, you'll find out that you're eating a lot of rice and chicken and potatoes, like pretty much every meal is going to be like that. Even still, like there's a lot of good food there. Like one of my favorites is lomo saltado, and I mean it's not chicken, it's like beef with potatoes and onions and stuff like that all served on rice. It's really good. Ceviche is really good, I highly recommend it. Also there's causa, which is like mashed potatoes rolled up with tuna and other vegetables and stuff like that. Like you can't really go wrong with Peruvian food. It's all really good.

Video 19 - Transcription

So in Iquitos, they have pretty much all the staple foods of Peru. Guinea pig isn't very common, but you can find it if you really want to. They have some really good chicken plates with rice and other things. My favorite dish was ceviche. Another food that I really enjoyed is yuca, which is like a potato. I also really enjoyed the steaks that they would make out of pig and cow liver. A lot of people will be grossed out by the fact that it's liver that you're eating, but don't let that scare you. Try it out and I guarantee you'll like it.

Video 20 - Transcription

The food in Peru is amazing. I really like lomo saltado, which is like this beef tenderloin stir-fry. You put it over potatoes and there's rice and then there's also ají de gallina, which is like this rice, potato, chicken sauce. Basically all food in Peru is a mixture of rice, potatoes, and chicken. There's no beans. It's not like Mexican food. It's not super spicy. It's just very flavorful. It does take a minute to get used to, but once you get used to it, you just love it. They eat fish. They're really famous for something called ceviche. I highly recommend it because I'm not a fish person, but I did really like ceviche. Everything is just amazing.

Video 21 - Transcription

One of my favorite foods I ate in Peru was pollo a la brasa, and that is rapeseed chicken with a side of really good french fries, and they usually have it with really good sauce, like a garlic kind of green sauce, or they have a special kind of mayonnaise there that it's completely different from mayonnaise in the United States, and it tastes way better, frankly. So that was my favorite thing, super popular there.
