Growing up, I loved drinking milk. I'd drink it all the time, anytime I could. Loved the fresh, cool feel of it going down your throat. When I got to Peru, I found that they don't drink a lot of milk, at least in the way that we do here in the U.S. Milk is either bought fresh off the street, boiled, and had hot and mixed in with whatever drink. Or you could buy it in cartons that was preserved, but it was never cold. So one time, I wanted cold milk really bad, so I froze it, or I stuck it in the freezer to get it cold fast, and when I drank it, it was kind of slushy. The next day, I just happened to sniffle a little bit, and my companion said it was because I drank cold milk that I was getting sick.
