In baseball, you really have to get used to failing and pushing through adversity. This guy right here, his name's Pete Rose. He had the most hits ever as a baseball player with over 4,200 hits, but he got out 69.7% of the time. So you're gonna fail a lot, but just get used to failing and overcoming challenges. And once you learn how to do that, it'll help you both in baseball and in life in general.

My advice for getting started would be like borrow equipment until you know you love it, and then if you do know you love it, invest in good stuff like early. Obviously do whatever your financial situation permits, but investing in something good early off the bat like gloves take a long time to break in, bats take a long time to feel comfortable swinging. So I know in high school I rode out gloves for, I mean in middle school, two, six, seven, eight years. I would go to leather shops to have them restitch so I didn't have to buy new gloves. So invest in something you like early because it's probably going to stick around for a while.

I've been playing baseball for like 12 years. I've played travel ball most of my life. I think some advice for getting started, just get a glove, go outside and find a buddy or your parents and go play some catch.
