This is kind of an obscure rule. So there's something called a bunt, which is where you kind of hold the bat out in front of you and your goal is to just tap the ball. And that's usually just used to like advance the runner. So there's a runner on first base and you want to bunt it up the first base side or the third base side to make them force you to get out at first. So then that way the runner that was on first can get to second. So in baseball, you can hit as many foul balls as you want to without being called out. So if you have two strikes on you and you hit a foul ball, doesn't matter. If you're swinging and you hit a foul ball, doesn't matter. But if you're bunting and you go for a bunt when there's two strikes against you and it's a foul ball, you are out. So you can only bunt foul a max up to two times. And then on that third time, you either have to swing or you better be sure that that is a, it's a fair bunt. It doesn't go foul.
