The diamond is the field. Pitches have big lingo like cutter, slider, curveball, fastball. I wouldn't learn what those do. On deck means you're next up to bat and in the hole means you're third next up to bat. On the mound is like the pitcher's mound, like where the pitcher throws the ball from. Oh, if you are about to get hit by a pitch when you're batting and you duck out of the way, you'll probably hear people say wear it, which means just let it hit you because you want to get on base at all costs. You put something around your back called a donut when you are in the on deck circle and it's literally just a weight that kind of helps you get your timing down for the swing for the pitcher.
