Helpful tips
Watch VideosFor the most part with my iron tablets, I don't have problems with my anemia, but sometimes it does come on. And so initially when I start to feel some stomach pain, some tiredness, I go straight to the bathroom and that has helped save me so many times from from passing out and things like that. I just go straight to the bathroom and unload, which might be TMI, but that is a tip that has helped me through a lot of things to avoid more problems.
I would say my most helpful tip is to just be aware of how you're feeling. You get to a point where you know you can pretty much tell like when your iron is low and if you're not feeling well and you'll be able to recognize it so just pay attention to how you're feeling. Make sure you're drinking a lot of water and eating frequently throughout the day and then take your iron supplements. Be diligent about that even if it doesn't seem necessary.
My mom struggles with anemia and struggles with having enough like iron in her body and at times I also struggle with having enough iron. Sometimes I won't be able to give blood because my iron level is low. A cereal that's really good, really full of like iron and fiber is called grape nuts. So grape nuts and they're tiny but and they're super healthy, lots of fiber and lots of iron and they help me feel like more energized when I eat them in the morning. So that's a little tip.
