My treatment for iron deficiency anemia is actually really simple. I have little iron tablets that you can order from online, get at the store, whatever, and I take one in the morning and one at night and usually that solves my problem.

So I tried a lot of things for my anemia. Oral pills weren't working. I tried like oral liquid meds and I couldn't get those to like really stick either. I could tell it was an absorption issue, but I couldn't figure out how to get my iron back up. Obviously, I tried food. That was my very first thing I tried. I cooked with iron, iron skillet, an iron fish. I don't know if you've ever heard of those, but you boil water and put one of these iron fishes in it and then drink the water. I tried everything. The only thing I was able to find that worked for me was patches, transdermal patches that you wear on your skin. You can buy them on Amazon, but they actually were the only thing that I was able to find that brought my iron up. So if you've tried all these other things too and it's not working for you, because obviously if you can eat your iron, do it. That's the very best. But if it's not working, then try the transdermal patches.
