- Much better than when I got here in 1980. Use common sense and if you get drunk take a cab home. (Gregg, 38 years)

Any advice for people moving to New York?
- It is expensive to live here. Rent for a studio apartment is $2500 in Manhattan or a nice area in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx. Get a place that costs no more than 1/3 of your monthly income or you won’t have enough money to do much else than subsist. (Gregg, 38 years)
