The pros
Watch VideosThe undergraduate writing program is pretty great, the chemical engineering program is great, and medical school at the University of Iowa is also really good. When I was in the ward there, there were medical students coming in and out constantly, and yeah, it's a really fun place to be. Depending on whether you like college sports or not, this could be a pro or a con, but Iowa has no professional sports teams, so the University of Iowa gets a lot of attention with its sports, especially its wrestling and football teams. That's pretty fun. Also, there's plenty of stuff to do around campus and downtown.
