So an interesting fact is that there are two Southern Illinois universities. There's Southern Illinois University of Carbondale and also Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. I actually attended both. So each college has their pros and cons. I started out at Edwardsville and wound up deciding to change my major and move to Carbondale because they had a much better photojournalism program and I wanted to develop my photography skills.
