⭐ Top Interviewers ⭐What a typical day is like
Watch VideosSo a typical day as a photographer is probably not what you think it looks like if you're not a photographer yourself. It's definitely not shooting most of the time. You're shooting some, but you're also gaining clients by advertising. You're gaining clients by doing the in-person networking that is absolutely necessary to get your photography business going. We also spend a ton of time editing. Probably more than anything, we spend time editing and advertising on social media so that we can gain clients and continue our business. A typical day for me whenever I was full-time, which currently I'm part-time photography, but whenever I was full-time, a typical day would look like me waking up, drinking my morning coffee for sure, and spending a couple hours editing and responding to emails and then either shooting a session or planning my sessions for that week. So you're editing and you're shooting and then you are just starting that process all over again.
Yeah, so it depends on what you're doing. It's just a normal shoot. Pretty much you get there. I recommend getting there like before the other people so you can kind of like get your equipment like ready and again like the mind space like okay I'm trying to help these people be happy and like relaxed. Then usually it's just an hour that you are doing it with them giving them prompts and some poses and then that's pretty much it. But then comes the more time consuming part of working on the pictures which will take some time.
For like a wedding It's more Crazy like the day before you got to make sure like equipment is charged Extra batteries are ready That you have everything and that morning make sure you know what like is on the schedule And you have to be at pretty much everything or it's like let them know like hours and the rate So you don't like over who work yourself for what you're being paid And then just make sure you like are okay with Being in front because you feel weird like hopping in front of everybody else that is like at the wedding But like the ones that got married they want you to be in front so they can So you can get the pictures that they want so you have you okay with that and go for it
