This is one of my favorite topics. I've been a wedding photographer for 12 years, and the way that I started my job is that I went to school for a photojournalism degree, decided rather quickly that photojournalism itself was not right for me. However, I did have a huge passion for photography and telling other people's stories. So I began with a bachelor's and then slowly started earning clients, and I built a website and started different social media platforms to gain business. In order to be a self-employed photographer, you have to do the right things to establish your business. Make sure that you get your domain name for your website, that you are doing it legally and filing your taxes. Make sure that you register your business with your state and getting your business license. You can google how to do those things online, but if you have any questions, you're welcome to reach out to me as well.
