As a cashier, the first thing you want to do is learn money. Learn how to make change faster, learn how to calculate money faster, learn how to handle checks, debit and credit cards that are from different companies, so that way if there's any errors you can fix it very quickly and show that you know what you're doing, and being able to understand how to work with people when they are slow, be patient, and then last but not least, learn how to count money and change money fast. The faster you handle money, the better experience it'll be.
