I got my job by first submitting an application and then going into the store and talking directly to the manager. I told him everything that I've done with money before, although technically I really wasn't a cashier. The only way I knew about the money system is because as a bus driver I decided to take the opportunity to learn the cashier system and handle money for customers in the waitresses. They were impressed with the fact that even if that wasn't my job, I stepped in and took over that job role for a few times. They gave me the job on the spot and as I started to work there they saw that I did mean business and even if I did or not at the time, I made sure to ask and learn and quickly adapt so that way I could be one of the best cashiers in the place.
