Advice for a new Freshman:
- Join a club if your from out of state. Life-long friends! (Sarah, 2013-2017)
- Be social; get to know people. (Aubrey, 2017)
- Get involved. Find 1-2 things you can commit to through the whole semester. If you don’t like it after that, you can switch but really stick it out. Also, look for volunteer opportunities, they’ll add up and be useful in the future. There’s SO MUCH free stuff just because you’re a student, find those things (ask) and use them. Don’t spend money until you have to. (Grace, 2008-2016)
- Only come here if you are an outdoor person, or really into research. (Abhishek, 2013-2015)
- Get involved. Use your passions to connect with people. You will have a wonderful time. (Jennifer Hill Barlow, 1992-2003)
- Get to know the campus and other students. (Britany, 1998-2002)
