Freshman advice
Watch VideosI would say the first thing, and I mean the very first thing I would do, is that first week, take an inventory of everything I need to get done that week and the following week, and do all of it. Don't let that first week end without getting that week's coursework and the following week's coursework done. If you're always a week ahead, you'll never have to panic, you'll never have to stay up late at night, you'll never have to, you know, try to get to bed by 1 a.m. so you can get four to five hours of sleep. Just try to stay ahead.
Make friends. It's nice. Well, I'm an international student and I didn't speak too much English, so I met with lots of Latino people and it was really nice for me to have them as friends. We helped each other to make homework, to study, and we had a really good time. I enjoyed to be at Ensign College. Those friends are helping me right now after, like, four years. We are keeping in touch and we help each other. We sometimes have meetings and, like, we remember those times when we were studying there at Ensign College and it was amazing. And put yourself out of the comfort zone. Try to speak the language.
