Trucking Owner Operator

I think one of the common misconceptions about truck drivers or people that own trucking companies is that they are fat and lazy and old and then their life is so boring and they don't have a life and they miss out on a lot. I mean maybe that was the case in the 80s or 90s but not now. Being your own independent company driver, you get to choose. You work this week, you don't work next week. You take a month off, you take three months off. So pretty much you make your own schedule. And yes, you know you gotta work to live and pay bills but you can still do it in a way that you get to spend time with your family. Also, the other misconception of they have wives and girlfriends everywhere, it's also a lie. There's no way they have the time between the loads and dropping off and the legal rules for driving and hours. It's impossible to have a lot of relationships.
