Special Education Teacher

My favorite aspect of being a special ed teacher is seeing kids do things that they didn't think that they could do before. I've only taught for one year but in just my one year I've been able to see a lot of my students be able to grow in their confidence or in their social skills or be able to find a book that they love when before they hated reading and these kinds of achievements are so rewarding because school is hard for these kids and they know that they're different but being able to see them thrive in certain ways and being that adult support for them and helping them feel loved and seen has been one of my favorite aspects of being a special ed teacher.
