So one inspirational story that I have doesn't sound like it as I start here, but it was Father's Day I think it was 2010 and I was called out on an emergency for sexual abuse of two little girls whose parents were both deceased and they didn't have or their aunt and uncles were adopting them and they were victims of sexual abuse when they went to their home and it just broke my heart because I thought you know here they have no family and they think that they're going to have a family through this aunt and uncle and they ended up getting really really bad sexual abuse and then this amazing foster family adopted them and those girls are doing so good now. I don't know how much they remember me. I don't it doesn't matter but to see them today just it's good stuff.

Work that I did with the same-sex couple, I worked with them like on two different cases and the first case was not good. It was very contentious and it was a very toxic abusive relationship between the adults. So they broke up and the single female who did not have children ended up having a little girl and her, that child got removed too. Um, we made a lot of progress. The child was returned to her and about a year after that, I got a text on Facebook out of the blue and she thanked me. She was telling me how good she was doing and how much she loved her baby girl and that she was no longer in that abusive relationship. So that was very hopeful for me.

So an inspirational story that just happened not too long ago was I was working in my practicum and I was asked by one of the case managers to work with a mom who was just, she couldn't even sit in a family support team meeting without losing her cool and stomping out and being an emotional disaster and the goal of the therapy was to get through a meeting successfully so that she could be reunified with her son and so I felt like we had some really good sessions. She was able to achieve her goals and get through family support team meetings without leaving and I got a call not too long ago and the case manager shared with me that she credits our counseling sessions to the success.
