I've never gotten septic. My mom did and it was a little scary because she almost died. I think that if we had been a few hours later to the hospital then she could have died. But it happened because she had a surgery a few weeks before, like a few days before, I think it was a week or something like that. I don't remember. It was really scary. It was a scary time. I was in high school and I don't think I fully realized that my mom almost died until she was already getting better.
