Senior Care Agency Owner

I think one of the hardest aspects of being a senior care agency owner is that if employees don't fulfill their responsibilities, the responsibility falls to you in order to provide good care. So it can be difficult to be on call 24-7, to never be able to step away from the phone without the fear of wondering if you're going to miss an important call. That can be, of course, mitigated as you grow and are able to hire more staff that can answer the phone calls for you and kind of mitigate some of those issues. But especially in the beginning, it all comes back to you and it is a 24-7 job. That being said, it doesn't happen every day that you have a fire to put out, but it does happen a lot of days and that can be a real challenge. So you need to be someone who can accept challenges without crying about them and just be like, all right, let's solve this, next step.
