Get a job in a clinic, work with therapists, get to know what it's like, get the experiences and they can tell you more about how they got there and how the specific process is going to help you. Just get a job in a clinic and get experience.

So currently I'm a physical therapy technician and I have the goal to become a physical therapist so I'll apply to physical therapy school next year. But I would say like in the middle of this process my advice for anyone like newly getting started is just to get a lot of hours in a physical therapy clinic. Make sure this is something that you really want to do. Put yourself in a place where you will see the worst parts of the job so you can decide you know if it's really going to be worth it to spend all that money going to school and all that time and also it's just you learn a and being in a physical therapy setting that'll help you at school and help it'll help you make connections. It's great to be able to get letters of recommendation from the people that you spend a lot of time with. So just as early as you can get get out there and get exposure to different settings of physical therapy.

I am currently in college and I am just working at a physical therapist office. Some physical therapist office kind of vary in what they allow you to do with patients. So get an office that you feel like is really helping you train and study and learning and preparing. So what I do with patients is I just do exercise with them. I learn massage techniques and some of the other techniques like electrical stimulation, heating pads, cooling pads, and it's really awesome to also get used to patient care and how you work with patients.
