So this isn't the typical kind of book about minimalism, but I think the New Testament is a great book that teaches some principles of minimalism. You know, there's some teachings that Jesus taught, like, you know, consider the lilies of the field, how they toil not, neither do they spin, you know, yet your Heavenly Father provided for them, or something like that, and they grow, or, you know, the birds, the sparrows, and how, you know, not one of them falls to the ground without your Father in heaven noticing, and like, just how we don't need to surround ourselves with material possessions in order to have a successful life. I mean, think about Jesus, did he have a lot of material possessions? It doesn't really detail it, but it doesn't seem like it. Also, think of John the Baptist, you know, he's been described as one of the greatest prophets. I think Jesus called him one of the greatest prophets, and did he have a lot of possessions? I mean, we don't really know, but it sounds like he was a man in the wilderness wearing very humble clothing, and probably didn't have a lot of tangible possessions, but his life was full of meaning, and so you don't have to have a lot of materials in order to have a meaningful life, and I don't think we're supposed to worry so much about surrounding ourselves with material possessions. I think we probably need to do more in our society of trusting God that he'll help us if we focus on doing what matters most.
