Some tips that I have for success would be first to get to know the doctor that you're working for, get to know the nurses you're working with, and ask them things that they like to have in a certain way. If the doctor likes to have things set up in a certain way for a procedure or if he needs an extra hand getting a soda in the morning or little things like that can really help to brighten the doctor's day and make the day go a lot smoother. I would also say another tip for success is to practice doing blood pressure, checking people's blood pressure, just check your family, check your friends, that is something that you'll use every single day as a medical assistant and you'll get good at it over time but it never hurts to continue to practice and make sure that you really are good at that skill because you'll be using it all the time.
