Fairview Stories

Share an experience you’ve had in Fairview (fun, crazy, dangerous, etc.).

  • Our new neighbors have been very welcoming. (Sally, 6 months)
  • When I was a kid we would ride our bikes to Fairview, and buy candies from their store they used to have. (Brittany, 4 years)
  • I spent so many summer days swimming and adventuring down at the Sanpitch river. One of my favorite things about growing up in Fairview. (Hailey, 9 years)
  • Was hit by a fire truck in front of the chief of police of Fairview last year. Was refused medical attention, then when I asked for the insurance to pay my medical bills was told by the same officer that no such thing happened and that I was a liar. Yet he in front of witnesses got into the fire fighters door and face telling him he would be arrested of he ever did that again. F*ck this city. Run by corrupt city officials. (Ethan, 13 years)
  • Love slowing down for sheep, cattle, in the road, plus all the wildlife. (Roxanna, 15 years)
  • Going to community events at the park and dance hall. (Samantha, 18 years)
  • Sledding up Skyline, Night Games, Walking with friends to the gas station to get a Soda, being involved in the Miss Fairview Program. (Kylie, 19 years)
  • As a child I would ride my bike all over Fairview. We enjoyed treats from the local grocery store (no longer in business) and everyone played at the willow tree on the corner of 300 S and 200 W (which has since been cut down). We loved visiting the museums, especially “the old museum” full of pioneer artifacts. (Rachelle, 24 years)
  • Parade for the 24th of July. (Amy, 27 years)

Fairview’s Future

How do you think Fairview will change over the next 10 years?

  • I hope it doesn’t. (Sally, 6 months)
  • Hopefully grow so we can have a grocery store. (Brittany, 4 years)
  • Maybe a little bit of growth, but not much else. (Hailey, 9 years)
  • It’s never going to change. It’s taken 10 years for them to build a sports park they promised and forced everyone to donate for. Still there is no bathroom at this sports park. Just an empty shell for years. (Ethan, 13 years)
  • Keep growth controlled slowly. We are still a little bit country and we like that. (Roxanna, 15 years)
  • It will grow a bit bigger with new houses coming in, but will be fairly similar as before. (Samantha, 18 years)
  • I think it will remain pretty much the same, maybe a few more houses, but I think the environment will remain the same. (Kylie, 19 years)
  • We may grow a little in population but I don’t foresee huge changes. (Rachelle, 24 years)
  • Hopefully develop a few more businesses where people can work. Not enough jobs to keep people here. (Amy, 27 years)
  • Grow more in size, hopefully more jobs. (Natalie, 30 years)
