One time I was traveling in Barcelona with my family and my extended family and my uncle was pushing my cousin, who has cerebral palsy, he was pushing him in a wheelchair and someone pickpocketed them. My uncle had all of the their six passports in his pocket. Someone stole them. We were in the elevator when this happened. We got out of the elevator and my mom saw this person speedwalking away with the passports. So she went and chased the person down. It was this little lady and my mom yelled at her and the lady threw the passports to the ground. So luckily we got the passports back, but it was kind of scary.

I had a scary experience once in Italy. We were in Florence and my friend and I went into a leather shop as we were looking for leather coats. And we met a young employee there, a guy, and he offered to take us back into the factory in the back of the shop and show us how they put together the coats and how they treat the leather and all of that. And so when we were going into the back, we didn't realize that we were the only two Americans there. There were big German shepherds back there. We went through a maze of different people working on the coats, etc. And we were kind of fearful that no one knew where we were. It was before cell phones and that maybe we weren't going to come out alive.
