My first solo travel experience was when I was 10 years old and I flew to Utah by myself from California and I was really nervous but um I think I flew with Delta and they have this thing that you can sign up for it's called the unaccompanied minor and a representative from Delta will come meet the unaccompanied minor at like check-in at the airport and they will walk them through security take them all the way to the gate to make sure that everything's okay um so I totally recommend that that made my first travel experience really nice.

My first solo travel experience was when I was going on my study abroad freshman year at BYU and I had COVID, so I actually had to come in a few days after everyone had already arrived, so I couldn't go with the girls I was planning to. So I was wearing a mask, I had all my documents, I'd never flown out of the country by myself, let alone to another state, so I was really in the dark, but I ended up not knowing where I was when I got to Italy, so I had to call my professor and he had to come on a train to pick me up because I didn't know where I was and the places to get euros stopped working, so I had no money to be able to get a car to use the public transportation system. So that was my first solo travel experience. It's then gotten better since but I always think about that.
