One of the hidden gem destinations that I've been to is Bear Reservoir in Northern California. It's kind of near Lake Tahoe, but it's just the most beautiful lake ever, dark blue, against these beautiful granite rocks and green trees, and it's just such a fun place to camp and stay, and I think just not a lot of people know about it.
