My shingles, actually the first time I got it, started in my scalp. It just felt like my hair was really heavy and it hurt. Kind of like, I don't know, if you're a girl maybe, if you've ever pulled your hair back into a ponytail for an extended period of time and then you take it out and it kind of just hurts. It felt like that, but it kept going and I hadn't had my hair in a ponytail and I didn't know why it hurt. And then it just kept expanding until like half my face was numb and in pain. And it took me a while. It took me like genuinely maybe like a week to figure out what was going on because I just didn't have answers. Maybe not quite that long, but pretty close. So that's my personal experience. And then it spread down my shoulder and down my arm and down my chest. And it stayed on one side of me, which I think is pretty common as well.
