Treatments
Watch VideosIn terms of treating psoriatic arthritis, I find weightlifting, gentle weightlifting, we're not talking like the crazy grunty 250 pound squats, okay, we're talking like some gentle bicep curls and things like that. Using bands, weightlifting and exercising can be a really good way to manage it and be aware of your body, of what your body's telling you, you know, some days are better than others. Also, reduce sugar. Sugar is going to cause a lot of inflammation in your body, as well as dairy.
I find that I can manage it really well without pain meds when I limit sugar. So that is anything ranging from pasta to sweets. I try to eat really whole sugars. So instead of a piece of bread, I will eat beans or rice or potatoes. And that really, really, really helps me. I also limit my cheese and my dairy. I personally love cheese, so I will only have cheese one meal instead of multiple. And I'm trying to get that down, but it's been really, really helpful.
