What a typical day is like - Podcaster Video Transcripts
Video 1 Transcript
I am actually not a full-time podcaster myself, but I have this podcast that I do on the side of all these other really cool things that I'm doing. And a typical day looks like going to work and then coming home and having a calendar to be able to schedule interviews with. And on that calendar, I'll come home and in the evenings or early in the mornings is when I actually record those interviews. And then I will schedule those out. So a typical day of podcasting will be me editing a little bit, scheduling out interviews, doing a little bit of the show notes, but I actually have a virtual assistant who helps with those show notes as well. So that's kind of what a day looks like for me.

Podcasting is not my full-time gig. I do post or upload one show a week, try to at least, but for the most part, I do my full-time job, IT field. I do come home Monday to Friday, try to come up with the script and then towards the weekend, do my show so I have some time to edit it, make sure it sounds good, make sure I can get some good either pictures that I'm on social media or something so people can attract, get attracted to go to hear the podcast. So that's basically how my typical day is.

My podcast, I have two episodes that are released a week, most podcasts have one a week. So it's not, it's not necessarily going to be a day-to-day thing, but I have a certain system in place with as far as how to reach out to people, what people I should consider interviewing, and then organizing the interview, getting it scheduled, doing the interview, sending it to the editor. You know, there's all these, there's probably 30 different steps between the beginning of finding someone I want to interview to actually publishing. And so a typical day is just a lot of emails, reaching out to people, talking with the editors, reviewing the content, making sure it sounds good, and then getting it published and, you know, promoting it the best I can.
