One of the best things when you're working in pharmacy is to be organized. When we get a basket full of prescriptions that need to be checked, I like to line up the prescription bottle with the stock bottle. Be very, very meticulous and organized. It just helps you make sure everything is correct. This is a job where you are the last person that sees this before it gets to the patient. You want to make sure it's right. So be very organized, keep your workspace clear, and use your technicians. We have wonderful staff at our store. Let them help you. If something is wrong, hand it to them to fix so you don't lose your train of thought. Stay on task. If a new prescription comes that needs to be checked first for a customer, it's sometimes best to just let it sit. Finish what you are doing. Get that all out of the way before you look at the other one. A customer can wait a minute. Getting it right is more important than getting it fast.
