Uplifting movies - Media Video Transcripts

So, uplifting movies. Well, I gotta go with the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It was one of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien's firmest beliefs that good always triumphs over evil, and I can't think of a better book series or a better movie series in all of fiction that depicts that. You want to see good win, you want to see evil fail, you want to see the indomitable spirit of man go up against evil incarnate and come out triumphant even through all its trials and tribulations. There's no better choice than watch the Lord of the Rings movies. The extended editions, of course, those ones are the best. Don't let anyone tell you different.

One of my favorite all-time movies is To Kill a Mockingbird. I love Atticus Finch and what he teaches his daughter Scout to how to stand up for what is right and what you believe is right and good even when it's really really hard. Great movie with Gregory Peck in black and white. I highly recommend it.

Uplifting movies could honestly just be sports movies because they're all happy. I'd recommend Remember the Titans, Miracle, The Last Dance.

I really love like Christian flicks, but one of my favorites of all time is called Miracles from Heaven. It's about this little girl that has this like health condition and her family's trying to kind of like sort through the complexity of that and hold on to their faith during this really really trying time that they went through and I just think it's a beautiful movie. I think it's so relatable in so many ways and it really strengthened my faith and so I really I would recommend it. I think it's awesome.

One of my favorite uplifting Christmas movies, it's called Klaus. And basically it's about a postman who doesn't want to do his job. He gets sent to this remote location and ends up having to send like 6,000 letters in a year. And it's a feel-good movie. Basically it retells how Santa Claus comes to be and it just makes you feel good. So definitely give it a shot. Great Christmas movie.

One of my favorite uplifting movies is called Hidden Figures. It's about these African American women in the 1960s, I believe, during the civil rights era. These women who worked at NASA, and they were just so intelligent and so smart, but they dealt with a lot of racism. But I think that movie is just so inspiring to see how women have persevered and how they could make it in the world, even though so many people were against them. And it just taught me that every person is valuable in this world in some way or another. We all have unique talents and gifts, but we must all treat each other with respect.
