VidAngel is great for cleaning up movies, but you have to be careful because sometimes with things that get taken out you wind up missing information that you need to really understand the plot so you can start missing part of the movie and the story as well.
I was able to use VidAngel before it became a paid subscription type service. It was really, really awesome. When I was in college, you were able to run movies and cut out things that maybe you didn't want to see. I went to a Christian college, so it helped us to be able to watch movies and keep it appropriate and keep it following the honor code. It's still awesome. I think it's still a great way to filter out things and movies that you don't want to see, though it is a bit sad that it isn't as affordable as it was when it started.
VidAngel is awesome. So my husband loves watching new TV shows, he gets recommendations from his friends all the time, and not all of them are super great. We love his friends and everything, but not all of the recommendations, like, make me happy. And so VidAngel is a great way to avoid anything that you don't want to see, anything that you don't want to hear. It makes it possible to watch really cool stories without having to worry about the excessive violence, any of the gore, any of the nudity, any of that. So I think that VidAngel is awesome. It does great work, and if you're considering getting it, I would, like, totally get it.
I like vidangel. I've watched a couple shows through vidangel and like I would say it's just more comforting to know that like it's not up to me to like skip stuff. Vidangel is like super intuitive with like, hey this is what's in here, would you like to skip this? Are you okay leaving this in? And like that's super helpful. So yes to vidangel and I think it's pretty cost effective too.
I think Vidangel is awesome. I haven't used the newer version of it since it came out, but I remember using Vidangel as a kid and it was just, it was awesome because there's so many movies nowadays that it's really sad but like they're really wholesome movies but then there's just one or two things that aren't super appropriate or more adult content that shouldn't be in the movie at all in my opinion. An example is the movie La La Land. I think it's a great movie, it's a really cute movie, but there's like a whole lot of swearing in it and so that's an example of a movie that could be really like aided by Vidangel because the story itself is super great but there's just a little bit of content that's not the most family-friendly. So I think Vidangel is awesome.
