Movies to avoid. Captain Marvel. It's not good. It's flashy, follows the formula, but it is meaningless. The character experiences no growth. It... it's just dumb. I don't know what to say. It's not a great show.

Avoid the divergent movies. Only read the books. The movies don't even follow the plot of the original books in the slightest, I swear. It's an entirely different storyline. The acting is really bad. It's just better to read the books. The end.
Unless you want to cry, do not watch Grave of the Fireflies by yourself.
Avoid the notebook. It is racy in certain parts, and that can be destructive to your spirit, as well as the fact that they have no good representation of a healthy relationship. All they do is fight and manipulate each other the entire time, and then later in life, when she's moved on, she's engaged, has a wonderful, actually healthy relationship, and then she just decides to cheat on him with some guy that she only dated for like a few months, seven years ago. It is just a waste of your time and doesn't really make any sense for building up your values or your relationships. That's just my thoughts. That's the notebook. Do not watch it.
The Notebook. It is not great. The relationship is not healthy. It's very toxic. It's not a great movie. It's dumb. I didn't cry at the end.
A movie that I think everyone should avoid is The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I watched this movie two weeks after getting home from my mission and it was traumatizing. It was so gory, there was so much blood, and death, and I don't recommend it to anyone.
Avoid movies that are spreading modern messages of society. Those movies will tell you to do the exact opposite of what you need to do. They're telling men to be more softer, ignore it. They're telling women to be more aggressive and feel testosterone, ignore it. They're telling you to embrace every single little change and make sure you don't offend anybody or everybody, ignore it. You need to watch movies that teach stoicism, virtue, loyalty, perseverance, and being able to be a good source of human light and godly love.
Personally, I like to avoid movies that are super demonic. I'm not the biggest fan of scary or demonic movies, but my aunt one time was telling me that watching those demonic movies is kind of like inviting the devil into your home. And ever since then, it kind of gave me a bad feeling every time I watched it. I just don't like all that stuff. So that's my suggestion, is avoid those movies, because nobody wants no ghosts in their house.
