My tip for success for law is knowing what you're doing before you get into it. Do your homework as to what kind of attorney you want to be and what kind of life you want. Talk to people about what they've done in law and what their course path is. You don't want to head into law being half-cocked. It's expensive. Law school is painful. Lawyers have a high degree of depression rate, substance abuse, and divorce. It can be a tricky field. There are some career paths that are quite fun, rewarding, flexible, and compensate well, but make sure you know what you're getting into. Know that most lawyers, for example, a lot of lawyers bill 2,000 hours a year, and that's full-time plus some every week of the year. Think about that for vacation time. It may not be the career if it works too much.
