Funny is a relative term, but my one and only trial that I ever went to, I was in charge of the strategy, though of course more senior folks did most of the arguing, but they let me argue as an associate and examine two different witnesses, which was not very common for a large law firm like ours. So I was very excited, prepared the night before, and I stayed up till three in the morning, then I was up at six in the morning to prepare, and I went and I cross-examined the witness in the stand. It went really well, and I got back to hang up my suit jacket at the hotel and noticed that the pants and suit did not match. I spent the whole day in the wrong pants and suit in front of everybody. Everybody saw it. No one told me, though. They didn't want to throw me off my rhythm. Thanks a lot.
