My very favorite place is the Garden Tomb. It's in the middle of Jerusalem and it's all this crazy hubbub traffic and you walk into the Garden Tomb and it's just all of a sudden it's just peaceful and quiet and um I just that one for me was always I felt like that really was there are other places you might go and you think okay this was probably the general area but the Garden Tomb felt to me like it was it was the place so that was kind of neat there's a one other spot that that you can go if you go and you take a tour on the west side they'll take a tour to a place where um you kind of have to go underground to get to where Jesus walked because most of where you're going is built upon built upon but there's one spot they know he walked and it was through the front of the temple so that was really cool for me to find you know to know that I was standing where Jesus stood.

One of my very favorite things that I did while I was in Israel and in Jerusalem was Hezekiah's Tunnel. It's a part of the King David National Park. It's just like south of the Old City. And we went, so there's a dry tunnel and a wet tunnel, and the wet tunnel has water running through it. And it's a tunnel that King Hezekiah dug so that they could like protect the waterway when the Assyrians were attacking, which you read about in Isaiah. So that was really neat. And we actually, in the Old City, we bought like clay oil lamps and put some oil in them and lit them. And we went through with only oil lamps as our light. And that was really, really cool, especially because that's how they would have done it back then. And so honestly, one of my favorite things I did.

Masada, so this is a historical place. It's a pretty much a city that was built up high to keep from... it's just a really cool story. If you go to Masada, it's closer to Eilat, closer to the Red Sea, and I would suggest watching the documentary so that you know, or unless you have a travel guide that will tell you all about it, or you can kind of just listen in on somebody else's travel guide while you're there, kind of follow the group. But it's a really cool story of how Masada got to be, and it's really high up. It's quite the hike, so get on some good walking shoes and go early in the morning before all the crowds. I think my husband and I woke up at like 5 30, and there's a great hostel right at the very bottom of Masada that you want to make reservations in advance.
