I think one of the most interesting things about the Indonesian people is that they're all pretty much bilingual. Indonesian is the trade language and so it's spoken everywhere and that's what's taught in school. But then every other city has their own special like local dialect and like West Java you'll hear Sundanese and Batawi. Central Java you'll hear Javanese in Medan which is on Sumatra. You'll hear people speak Nias and Batak. There's just there are thousands of different languages there. It's really cool you'll get to learn little phrases and all of them and the Indonesian people love it if you can do that.
