Yes, our language is not easy. I can say like three different meanings to only one word. We don't say she or he, we have only just ŭ, and this means both, the she and the he. Yes, it's not easy. We are happy that people try to learn our language. It's really nice to know that some people are interested in our country.
So, Hungarian is one of the hardest languages for an English speaker to learn, so in regards to learning the language, what helped me was learning vocabulary earlier on, so that I can recognize and pick up the words when the Hungarian spoke. So I did a lot of vocabulary learning and studying, and then once I got to the country, then I was able to hear how Hungarians pronounce and how Hungarians form different sentences. Because Hungarian grammar is a tough one, it's tough to get a hold of, and so I was able to, just by listening, just by hearing the Hungarian speak, I was able to understand how words are supposed to be formed and how conjugations are supposed to be formed.
Well, my simple tip for the Hungarian language is this, just speak, go speak, go try. When you go into the stores, try talking to the people, talk to the workers, order your own food. If you're ordering like cheese behind the counter or something, talk to the cash register people, say the words, try, speak the best you can. You're gonna make a lot of mistakes, but that's part of the process and the growth. And if you're okay with being corrected and asking, how do you say this? How do you say that? Then the people are so happy that you're trying to learn their language in Hungary. Hungarian language is not easy, but it's a beautiful language. And you will be blessed to know the Hungarian language and to teach these people in their mother tongue. So just go for it. My tips are gotta practice, practice, practice and practice, gyakorolás is what's going to make all the difference for you. Servus.
