Almost half of the population of Fiji is Indian. They were brought over in the 1800s as indentured servants and then throughout time that just kind of became their home. And so you'll have a lot of Indian food and you'll have a lot of Fijian food and there can sometimes be like a bit of animosity between the two cultures. So I just found it best like never really take sides with anyone. Just don't say anything mean about the other culture because everyone has good and bad parts to them. But that's a really fun thing that lots of people don't know about with it being an island that there is actually a very large Indian influence.
