So I had the really unique experience in Ecuador to be able to shadow an Ecuadorian neurosurgeon. It was actually one of the coolest things that like I've ever got to be a part of because I sat by him on the plane on the way there and I just chatted with him about like my interest in the medical field and how I worked in a hospital and he's like and I was like oh you should let me like come shadow for and he goes like oh no I don't allow students but I was like oh like I'm like a different type of student like I've done this before like I work in a hospital he's like okay and so I was able to help in a trigeminal nerve repair on someone's brain just as a random American in Guayaquil and like I touched the lady's brain and like helped her like do suction and like stitches and like all that while they were telling me like all the tools and stuff and everything to do in Spanish so it was really fun.
