A fun free day idea is just to have a movie night in and of course you can, you know, make dinner or dessert together and have treats and just be together and have a chill movie night.
Free date ideas is something like going on a walk, going on a park, playing games, just at home, either watching a movie at home, cooking a meal together with ingredients you already have at home, writing cards to each other, quizzing each other, trivia is always a fun one, lots of fun free date ideas, just be creative.
Okay, so some of my favorite free date ideas would have to be going to Barnes & Noble or any bookstore. You could even do the library and kind of doing a scavenger hunt. You can do fun activities like you have to pick a book and then you open to a random page and the person has to guess the genre. You like read that page, they have to guess the genre, they have to try and guess what the title that's always fun. Or you can read your favorite childhood books if you can go to like Barnes & Noble and go to the kids section. Or another fun one is you do kind of you know find a book of a place you would like to visit, find a book of like something you want to learn, your favorite childhood book of you know find a book that you can't believe exists, funny things like that and then sharing that it just creates good conversation. You don't have to buy any of the books, it can be completely free and super fun.
You go to Costco or Sam's Club and just try a bunch of samples. I feel like it'd be really fun because you're just walking around and so you have plenty of opportunity to talk and then you also get to try different kinds of foods as well, which leads you to get to know the person pretty well and I feel like it can lead to some pretty good conversation and it can overall be a good time. And then if you want you can get food either at Sam's Club or Costco, which is really cheap. Granted that's not free, but it's ridiculously cheap. So that was just one of my free date ideas that I had.
So a fun free date idea that I have enjoyed around Christmas time is going and walking through the neighborhoods that have a bunch of like Christmas lights. You bring like a thermos full of hot chocolate and y'all just sit there and talk as y'all walk looking at all the Christmas lights, or you can drive depending on how cold it is. And a lot of parks will have a lot of Christmas lights so you can like walk through the park and like sit down and just talk for a little bit. That's a fun date idea that I've done a couple of times.
Go to DI or a thrift store or any clothing store and take with you a bowl with slips of paper in it. It's kind of like charades. Each slip of paper is a different style or decade and you pull a decade or you pull slip of paper and then you go out and you find an outfit or a costume for the other person and then you each try on each other's outfits that you picked for each other. It's pretty fun.
A night of stargazing or a good meteor shower, all cozied up with some blankets, especially if it's like in the back of a pickup truck, super fun free date and you get to all get cozy and snuggled up and maybe drive out away from the craziness of the city. It's a wonderful way to get to know someone.
Free dates are the way to go. I'd say some of my favorite that I've been on recently is to create your own mini golf course. It's really fun. It's a fun way you can get to know the other person. Another fun one you can do is painting ideas. I guess you have to pay a little bit of money to get the art supplies, but once you have it, it's free dates for the rest of the time you have the paint and the supplies.
Okay, my most recent favorite free day idea is to go like on a hike and you bring a candle, mini marshmallows, teddy grahams, and chocolate chips and you roast mini s'mores over a candle and it's actually really fun.
Go to the park. Parks are always a lot of fun. One way to kind of up the fun part of the date is to dress as your favorite like high school stereotype. I really like walking downtown. A lot of cities and towns have a really cool downtown area so...
One of my favorite free dates ever is ice blocking. So you go, you buy this great big cube of ice, you put like a towel over it, and then you find a good grassy hill, and you ride on the towel on the block of ice down the hill. Super fun, super free.
Go to like the local library. Usually there's like little art shows going on or find museums that have free admission. I know that in the place that I live there's tons of museums that have free admission and it can just be for a fun and quiet date. You can also just do simple things like around the house like just have a board game night or do something like that.
Okay, some free date ideas. You can have a picnic, just bring stuff from home. You don't have to buy stuff for it at all. This is a little bit more personal, but you can go stargazing. And some other ones, you can go like running, hiking, walking, depending on where you live. I live in the middle of nowhere, so we don't have hiking, because we don't have any type of mountains or anything like that. But those are usually really good, really fun. And if you ever heard of Jackbox, it's really fun. You can play it. You have to have a television and then some phones, and it can be like even a group date. It's more fun with more people. So you all can get together and play Jackbox. And it's usually really, really fun. And you can bring your own snacks and then play some games afterwards that can help you get to know the other person.
So for one date, me and this guy, we both took our cameras because we both like to take pictures, went and did a random photo shoot. We went to this overlook around our town and we just took pictures of the setting and the surroundings and then we found a really good spot and just took pictures of each other. That was a lot of fun and then afterwards we went to the park downtown and we started editing the photos together and we sent them to each other. It was a lot of fun, really easy to do, really simple and cheap if you have a camera.
One of my favorite free dates is called a bookstore date, and you have three categories of books that you each go out and find for each other and then you come back and discuss why you chose those books, whether it was your favorite children's story growing up or a recipe that you want to learn to make together. It's a really fun way to sit down and get to know someone.
Nothing beats a hike. That is one of my favorite free dates and you have all that time to talk and get to know each other and depending on how hard the hike is, you can really see what someone's made out of depending how far they can make it on that hike without complaining too much.
I think just simple things, like going on a walk, going on a hike. I heard just doing little things to make memories. Skipping rocks over a lake. Just something short, sweet, and fun like that can help you get to know someone better. And if you are dating them, just create fun little memories.
A really fun free date idea is to literally just go to IKEA and walk around. I mean, there's so much you can just see and do and laugh and just have a good time. IKEA is kind of the best place on earth, so I think that's a super fun place to go.
Just have a game night where you play card games or board games or something. Super simple.
Geocaching is like hiking with a twist. One of my favorite things about geocaching is it's free, and often it shows you unique places around where you live that you may have never discovered, except you're following those coordinates and looking for a little hidden treasure.
One of the best free dates I've been on is just a walk in a really pretty place like Bridal Veil Falls. I think it's so important on the first date especially to be able to just get to know the person. So I think like a walk in a beautiful spot in nature is a great idea.
