So I got a concussion playing volleyball, which isn't super common. Some symptoms that I had, I was really, really lightheaded. I don't remember it happening. Like I fell down, well, I got hit in the face and then I fell and hit my head on the ground. I don't remember any of that. I don't remember the last couple points of the match. I tried walking to the locker room and I was so lightheaded. I just like couldn't make it there. Like they had to help me. Obviously like I had a really bad headache afterwards. But yeah, just not a fun experience.

I think most people assume that the major symptom of having a concussion is losing your memory, which is true, that is a symptom, but I had a concussion and I didn't lose any of my memory. I had things like being dizzy, vomiting, things like that are also symptoms and so if you had an injury like that and feel some of those symptoms, definitely go get it checked out because I was convinced that I did not have a concussion because I still remembered everything and I still did once I got it checked out.

I think a persistent headache is a definitely a sign that you have a concussion and also like being dizzy and being nauseous.

So yeah, concussions typically come from when there's traumatic injury to the head. Symptoms include throbbing headaches, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, faint, fainting, losing consciousness, vertigo, loss of memory. That's a big one that I've experienced. And then just like brain fog.

I had a friend who got a concussion and he tripped and flew into a brick wall. It was a cement wall and whacked his head and luckily he didn't cut anything open but he got knocked out and pretty soon after he woke up and started throwing up and he was just out of it. He didn't know where he was or what day it was or anything like that so if someone hits their head and starts throwing up it's pretty pretty likely that they have a concussion.

I've had many concussions over the years. Not like a lot, but like four or five. I don't remember how many. And one of the main things about having concussions is like your symptoms, even after you're mostly better, like you can still have a lot of long-lasting symptoms. Most common would be headaches, but you'll still have light sensitivity for a really long time, possibly. I'm not saying for everyone, but I still get a lot of light sensitivity. Sometimes noises. I've been getting a lot better with noise sensitivity. But yeah, it lasts for a while. My most recent one was three months ago and I still have headaches. But even before that, my most recent one before that had been over a year ago and I was still getting headaches up until I got my most recent one. So it's a rough ride.

If you don't you've had a concussion. I would highly suggest blue light glasses because they help a lot
