I grew up playing football, so football usually comes with lots of concussions, and so I dealt with that on multiple occasions. And the best advice I can give is not to ignore it, I guess. I guess that was kind of a culture, at least when I was growing up, I think it's kind of changing now, where if your head starts to hurt a little bit, it's natural, just let it happen. But obviously studies have shown that that's not a good thing to do. Don't ignore it if your head starts to hurt while you're playing football or any other sport. You should pay attention to that and seek medical attention and try to get that taken care of, because there can be long-term lasting effects that are very dangerous.

Some helpful tips that helped me, I had one concussion in particular that took a while to recover from. So much so that I got on specific diets. I got on the keto diet so that I increased my protein and fat intake. That helped kind of feel my brain to recover. My home teacher at the time actually was a chiropractor and I started visiting him to realign you know my spine and neck. I actually had some pinching of nerves in my neck so that led to a prolonged recovery. So that helped. But just the typical staying off screens, bright lights, loud or loud sounds. I found that kind of resting in a dark room and making sure that I had proper hydration and nutrition helped.

Just take time to rest. You can't do anything really that's productive until you heal from a concussion. So just, you can't use your phone, do not use technology because that will make it worse. So just avoiding that, avoiding things like reading where your mind is stimulated, just try to rest.

I think it's best just to rest and restrain from playing any kind of physical sport because it's not good to do that when you're in a concussion. I had a concussion from basketball and it was not good but continue to play and you don't want to do that.

I would say that a helpful tip for having a concussion is audiobooks are your next best friend. I remember having to sit in a dark room not being able to look at a tv or a phone for a long time and audiobooks became my best friend. They entertained me for hours and hours and hours when I was just sitting in a dark room with no lights.
